The consultation is not a sales call. The doctor is not paid more if you book a procedure. The plan you take home is not time-limited and is not paired with a discount that expires. We do not call you afterwards to “follow up on your decision”, and we do not run promotions on aesthetic surgery.

The visit’s purpose is the answer, not the procedure
After a real aesthetic consultation, every patient receives a recommendation that sits at one of three levels of intervention. Understanding those levels is the most useful map you can take into the visit.
Hearing “do nothing” from a specialist is often the most valuable thing a patient can receive — it lets you stop worrying. And when surgery is the recommendation, it comes because the smaller options would not resolve your concern, and the benefit clearly outweighs the risk and the recovery.
→Doing nothing (or monitoring over time)
Sometimes the honest recommendation is that the feature is a normal variant of your anatomy, or that the improvement would be smaller than the risk — described honestly, including its likely trajectory.
→Non-surgical aesthetic medicine
Botulinum toxin, hyaluronic-acid fillers, peels, laser and energy-based treatments — minimal recovery, no scars, repeatable over time. For many patients, exactly what they were looking for.
→Aesthetic and reconstructive surgery

Frequently asked questions
about the aesthetic consultation
Do I need to know what procedure I want?
No. The consultation is built for patients who do not yet know. Many of our most useful first visits are with patients whose only certainty is that they have a question.
How long does the consultation last?
About an hour. Some consultations — particularly for complex revisions or for patients with multiple concerns — extend to ninety minutes. The visit is not rushed.
What does the consultation cost?
The aesthetic consultation has a defined fee, communicated when you book. It covers the visit, the examination, the photographic documentation, and the written plan; it does not include any procedure. If you proceed to surgery later, the consultation fee is sometimes deducted from the procedure cost — see your written quote.
Will I be pushed to schedule a procedure?
No. The consultation produces a plan; the plan goes home with you. We do not call afterwards to “follow up on your decision”, and we do not impose deadlines on the plan’s validity.
What if you don’t think I should have surgery?
We will say so. The right answer for many patients at the right time is no surgical procedure. This is a normal outcome of a careful consultation, not a refusal of service.
Can I bring photos of the result I’d like?
Yes, it helps. But be aware that those photos are of another person, with a different anatomy, a different age, different genetics. The discussion will be: we appreciate the aesthetic of this result — is it realistic in your body?
Should I start with botulinum toxin, or go straight to surgery?
It depends on your case. If your concern is light expression lines, starting with botulinum toxin can make sense. If your concern is excess eyelid skin, botulinum toxin will not help — you would need a blepharoplasty. The consultation clarifies exactly this.
Can the consultation cover multiple concerns?
Yes. Many patients arrive with concerns in more than one region — face plus body, breast plus abdomen, or body contouring plus a skin lesion. The visit covers what is realistic to assess in the time available; very large multi-region cases may be split across two visits, with no additional first-visit fee.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. Many patients bring a partner, a parent, or a close friend. The decision is yours, but the conversation can include whoever you want it to include — a second person listening helps you remember the recommendation.
Is the consultation also available for second opinions?
Yes. If you have already been seen elsewhere — and especially if you have had a procedure elsewhere whose result has not satisfied you — the consultation is structured to include review of prior records, operative reports, and imaging where available. The aim of a second opinion is an independent assessment, not a competitive sale.
If I change my mind after the consultation, can I come back and talk it through again?
Yes. Your file stays open, and you can always come back to ask questions, review the recommendation, or proceed when you are ready.
